February 4 planned marches updates
9am audio update
9.37am -Officers are starting to be deployed into Leicester city centre so expect to see police vehicles in convoy
9.39am -24 Police horses and 18 police dogs will also be used to assist todays policing operation
10am audio update
10.56am -Officers have already been escorting groups of EDL supporters through the city centre towards St Margarets pastures and there are also some supporters already at the UAF assembly site in Welford Place/King Street
So far we have had no arrests
11am audio update
11.03am -In total there are 404 extra resources on patrol on top of normal policing levels. 277 officers, 96 PCSOs and 46 Specials EDL UAF
11.09am -Large numbers of EDL Protesters in Loughborough. Police are aware, no trouble
11.16am-Protest supporters are now arriving at the LFE services. Police are aware and will be escorting them to the EDL and UAF muster points.
11.21am-Horses on patrol forLeicesterprotests have assisted officers in an arrest of a wanted man on Malabar Rd. The arrest is not connected tothe EDLor UAF.
11.31am-Police are now escortingEDLsupporters away from Loughboroughto the assembly point at St Margarets pastures.
11.35am-Three coaches in Market Harborough with protesters on have been advised to make their way toLeicestercity centre.
12pm audio update
12.13pm-British Transport Police areassisting police with regards to those EDLandUAF supporters arriving by train
12.15pm- Gallowtree Gate and Humberstone Gate have highLeicesterpolice presence but shoppers are still going about normal Saturday business.
12.18pm- 15 minutes until EDLandUAFmarches inLeicester aredue to begin. All peaceful at present with no arrests.
12.30pm-No formal delay onEDLandUAFLeicestermarches, just ensuring everything in order before setting off.
12.32pm-Around 500-700EDLsupporters and 200UAFsupporters preparing to march.

12.38pm-EDLsupporters are just waiting for more supporters to arrive before continuing along St Margaret's Way in Leicester.
12.46pm- UAFcurrently at the top of King Street inLeicesteras they begin their march route.EDLstill static.

1.19pm-BothEDLandUAFmarches continue throughLeicestercity centre.
1.43pm- Still no arrests in connection with today'sEDLandUAFmarches in Leicester. However, normal policing continues across city and counties
1.54pm-Theres no trouble.EDLandUAFare followingLeicesterpolice instructions and making their way around the designated march routes
1.55pm- UAFhave completed their march and are back at their assembly point

3.06pm - Experiencing some technical difficulties, Audio update will be slighly delayed
3.07pm - Leicester city centre starting to get back to normal after marches
3.12pm- UAFare starting to clear their assembly point following the marches inLeicester
3.20pm- 7EDLcoaches have left the assembly point, around 100 protesters on trains home and 3 more coaches about to leaveLeicester
3.48pm- Rumours of anEDLminibus being attacked are not confirmed. We have had no reports. Officers dealing with local youths in city centre

4.06pm- VisitingEDLandUAFhave now left the city and we're encouraging everyone else to go home so we can get city back to normal
