Officers from Leicestershire Constabularys serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision in Foxton.

The collision happened at about 4.45pm yesterday evening (Thursday January 12) on the A6 Harborough Road and involved four vehicles.

The vehicles involved were a silver BMW X6, a silver Subaru Legacy, a black and red Aprilla scooter and a yellow Toyota MR2.

The driver of the scooter received serious injuries and was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment. His current conditionhas beendescribed as stable.

The drivers from all other vehicles were uninjured.

Detective Constable Seamus Burns is investigating the incident, he said:The silver BMW was travelling towards Market Harborough and the other three vehicles were travelling in the opposite direction when the collision happened.

We want to piece together exactly what happened so are keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who spotted any of the vehicles prior to it."
