Police officers in the South Leicestershire area need your help to solve these incidents.

Police have received a report that a man was seen acting suspiciously in Leicester Lane, Desford at about 11.45am on Tuesday November 9.

The man approached a 16-year-old girl and spoke to her briefly before driving off.

The man was driving an old car which was a rusty red colour and had lots of green shopping bags in the back and a black and white Yorkshire Terrier type dog.

He has been described as being white, in his 40s, of large build, with short black hair. It is believed he spoke with a foreign accent.

PC Kate Cheney is investigating the incident, she said: The girl was walking towards Desford crossroads when she noticed the car driving slowly and then making a u-turn near to the traffic lights and driving towards her.

Did you see a similar car in Leicester Lane during the morning of Tuesday November 9, exactly a week ago today? If you recognise the car or the description of the man then I would urge you to contact us.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 4701 Kate Cheney, quoting incident number 528:09:11:10.

Officers from Harborough local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a 36-year-old man was assaulted.

The victim was in his car when he was assaulted by a man in Northampton Road, Market Harborough, a second man then smashed the victims driver side car window.

The incident took place around 9.45pm on Tuesday November 9. The victim received a minor injury to his head and a cut to his lip.

Two men, aged 41 and 54, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC Lucy Green is investigating the incident, she said: The area in which the incident took place was very busy at the time and there were a number of people in the nearby pub.

Officers from Wigston local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a house was burgled in Oadby.

Between Thursday November 11 and Friday November 12 a number of items were stolen from a house in Foxhunter Drive.

Amongst the items stolen was a silver charm bracelet which had a notebook and horse shoe charm and a heart shaped safety chain, a gold eternity ring which had nine stones in it, a gold ring with a single onyx stone in it and a Sanyo hi-fi system, but the speakers were left behind.

It is believed a man was seen acting suspiciously in the area around 11.30am on Thursday November 11, the man was seen carrying a rucksack and was last seen walking towards Oadby.

He has been described as being in his late teens or early 20s, about 6 tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark bomber style jacket, mid blue jeans and white head covering.

PC Michael Coulter is investigating the incident, he said: The jewellery stolen during the incident is of great sentimental value to the owners and they are keen to get these items back. If you have been approached by someone trying to sell similar items of jewellery then please contact us.

I would also like to speak to anyone who saw a man similar to the one mentioned above in the area on Thursday (November 11), if you know who this was or you can help locate him contact us immediately.
