Police in Great Glen are appealing for witnesses after a silver Isuzu Rodeo was stolen from a car dealership.

The incident happened shortly after 9am on Tuesday December 22 as the car was parked on The Nook, just off London Road.

The passenger of a white van, possibly a Peugeot Boxer, got out of the van, jumped into the Isuzu and drove off in it.

The car and the white van then drove off along London Road in the direction of Leicester.

The stolen vehicle had recently been purchased as was about to be taken to its new owners. It had a number plate which said RODEO and a sold sign in the window.

The man who took the car is described as wearing dark clothing and a dark hooded top.

PC Matthew Lanigan, from Harborough local policing unit, said: If you saw this car driving along London Road towards Leicester Im sure you would have noticed it, certainly the car registration number would have stood out.

We really need to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the car in transit that day or knows anything about its current whereabouts.

Perhaps youve seen the number plate discarded or the sold sign? Maybe you saw the Peugeot Boxer van and could describe the occupants?

If you have any information about this crime then wed be keen to hear from you.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1458 Matthew Lanigan on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1458. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
