Broughton Astley and Walton residentsare invited to police consultation meetings during August.

Beat officers for Broughton Astley and Walton will be holding the drop-in surgeries to listen to and act on the concerns and opinions of local people.

Residents are invited to meet the officers, who will be glad to see you, in the rural beatbus atthe following village locationsthis month:

  • Monday, August 4th, between 10am and 2pm at the Cock Inn Car Park, Peatling Magna
  • Tuesday, August 5th, between 6pm and 8pm at the Cock Inn Car Park, Peatling Parva
  • Thursday, August 14th, between 10am and 2pm at Orchard Road, Willoughby Waterleys
  • Friday, August 15th, between 6pm and 8pm at Orchard Road Willoughby Waterleys
  • Monday, August 18th, between 10 am and 2pm at Behind Devitt Way Shops, Broughton Astley
  • Tuesday August 19th, between 10am and 2pm at Village Hall, Broughton Astley
  • Wednesday, August 20th between 6pm and 8pm at Co-Op Car Park, Broughton Astley
  • Thursday, August 21 between 6pm and 8pm at Co-Op Car Park, Broughton Astley
  • Wednesday, August 27th between 10am and 2pm Near Post Office, Main Street, Dunton Bassett
  • Thursday, August 28th between 6pm and 8pm at Elfin Grove, Dunton Bassett

PC 1837 Adam Dewfield and PC 2199 Henry Henderson will be visiting all the villages on the beat with available representatives from the parish and district councils, district council enforcement officers, the Harborough District Neighbourhood Watch Association and Community Speed Watch.

PC Henderson said: "By having the various agencies present, the beat officers hope that a partnership approach to any issues raised by individual residents or the community as a whole can make a difference.

"Whilst in the village we will also be carrying out house to house surveys to gain input from as many residents as possible."
