Leicester Shire Food and Drink Fortnight is happening again this year across the county and the city from the 20th September to the 3rd October, in line with the British Food Fortnight.
This years theme is Diversity and is celebrating the Food and Cultures of LeicesterShire.
The aim of the fortnight is to raise the profile and awareness of Leicester Shires Food and Drink Economy. Activities during the fortnight include, food and drink events, pork pie demos, vineyard tours which include a taste and themed evenings. You can also enjoy cheese tasting and much more.
Experience LeicesterShire regular farmers markets and regular market network. Find out more about the delicious Quorn Bacon Roll.
A promotional brochure is available listing all the events throughout the fortnight and contains some exciting recipes for you to have ago at.
It has been a good year for food and drink in Leicester and Leicestershire and one worth celebrating in our Food Fortnight. Matthew OCallaghan chair of the Melton Food Partnership.
